McConnell wins trial over Sagar
Electraction TM rider Euan McConnell claimed a fantastic win in the trials section of the King of the Hill event run by Llangollen and District Motorcycle Club on 28 June 2007. Euan had planned to enter the event to improve his trials skills with a little coaching from expert trials rider Tom Sagar but finished the event by taking the lead. Sagar on the other hand won the title of King of the Hill in the final hill climb event.
"I had a bad result in the hill climb because I forgot to turn my fuel on, but never mind because I beat belly [Sagar] in the trial. I thought he was good at trials," said McConnell.
"I entered the event as Sagar had promised to give me some coaching, but in the end it was the student showing the master.
"A special thanks to belly's dad [Paul] for paying for my entry, because I turned up without any cash."
